Abstract
In general, the purpose of this study is to explore how the techniques and leadership style of the school principal, in their role as a leader, can improve teacher performance at SDN Galih I, Pasrepan District, Pasuruan Regency. The study employs an approach that includes pedagogical, psychological, sociological, and managerial aspects. In collecting data and presenting research findings in the field, the researcher used various instruments such as interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain both primary and secondary data. The data analysis process was carried out using both deductive and inductive approaches, supported by relevant and measurable methods. Information in this study was obtained from sources such as teachers, the principal, and students. Data collection techniques included interviews to gather verbal information, observations to understand behaviors and actions, and documentation such as photos, records, and archives to support the data collected. The results of the study indicate that the school principal’s leadership style has a significant impact on teacher performance in carrying out their teaching duties. A charismatic, appreciative, and participative leadership approach creates an atmosphere in which teachers feel valued and motivated. A sense of familial connection also fosters enthusiasm in the workplace. Additionally, the implementation of effective classroom management contributes to improved teacher performance, as mastery of classroom management enables teachers to better organize and manage the teaching and learning process. Proper lesson planning and the use of suitable teaching methods also support teachers in enhancing their competence and teaching performance, ultimately having a positive impact on the school’s overall achievements.
